Happy Birthday to Me!

best wishes 1It’s my birthday!  My birthday coinciding with a blog day doesn’t happen often.  In fact, if I maintain this schedule, it will only happen two more times in the next decade.

As you read, I’m in a plane or on a train or in a car somewhere. I won’t find any cards in the mail today nor will I receive birthday songs or pie at the office today.  So, I thought perhaps we could try something new and different–a virtual birthday party.

Here’s how it works.  Scour the internet for my birthday present.  Once you’ve found the perfect gift for me (remember it’s virtual, so you don’t have to spend a cent!), post the link in the comment section.  If you think it’s not self-explanatory, leave a note, too!

I’ll look forward to “getting” your gifts when I get to where I’m going.

Thanks for playing along!

  1. Got it! For your “virthday”, I got you a copy of the new book by Nelson Mandela, called Conversations with Myself. Should be a good read. I love you, Sheryl, and I’m so glad every day that I know you. You are such a blessing to so many.

  2. I got you round trip tickets to Africa to visit ME!! Actually that is a present for you AND me. LOL. And these tickets recur every year for the next ten years at least!! Boy, don’t I wish!! Happiest of birthdays, dear Friend. Miss you like crazy!

  3. Thanks, Steve! I’ll look forward to it. It’s very nice to think there will be a present waiting for me when I get back! Much nicer than thinking about the work that will be waiting for me when I get back.

  4. OOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!! I’ve wanted that book, Pat! Thank you!!!!!! I think I’m just going to go ahead and order it. 🙂

  5. I love mutual gifts, Judy! Thanks!!!! Wouldn’t that be lovely if you could by a ticket once and use it ten times for the price of once?! I’m sure they’d sell more tickets.

  6. I just heard a review of this on NPR, Ginger. It sounds great. Thanks for participating in my virthday party! (Great term!) I love you, too!
