That’s how fast my week went . . . wooooooooooooooossssssssshhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels like I just arrived in CA, but today is my 8th day here.  It’s time to head back to CO.  In the last week I’ve participated in 2 flash mobs, seen my brother’s production of Father’s Follies twice, attended a cast partyat the Dads’ Club, spent a chunk of one day with friends from ICA, had lunch and coffee with a friend from PFO/Germany, had dinner and spent the evening with another friend from NY who now lives in SoCal, slept in, walked the boys to school, shopped with Mom and Karin, and did some serious hanging out.  We took some fun pictures and made some crazy videos, so I’ll have some things (besides my memory) to help keep this week in mind.

The consensus here is that I should stay another week, but it’s not reality.  I have people to see, places to go, and weeks of camp to plan.  I would love to keep sleeping in the playhouse and hanging out with my family.  Although we were busy, I think this was one of the most relaxed weeks we’ve had together.

I know these times aren’t going to last forever.  Time is exacting its price on all of us.  No matter how hard I try, I can’t convince the boys to stop growing up.  The rest of us . . . well, ain’t nobody growing younger.  I’m just trying to savor what’s here and let the future take care of itself.
