Tribute to Randomness

pillow and sheetMy goal for the week: try to get to work every day for at least a few hours.  Thankfully, work is slow right now, so it’s not a huge deal to only be there for a few hours each day.

The big problem is getting my sleep back on a work schedule.  I sleep so much better in the morning than I do at night, so that’s when I’ve been getting the majority of my shut eye.  I’ll go to bed exhausted and yawning, but sleep is elusive for a few hours.  I either wind up playing Jawbreaker for hours or resorting to some Tylenol PM.  Of course, when I resort I sleep even later . . . and my “sleep schedule” is that much more convoluted.  Oh well—if this is my biggest problem, I’m doing pretty well!

I started reading Searching for God Knows What this weekend.  So far, I think I like it better than Blue Like Jazz, but of course I was on painkillers when I started that.  Anyway—I read the chapter on Adam and Eve last night, then my brain worked on it a little more this morning.  I liked it last night, and I think the basic premise is good, but it seems to me he missed something in the chronology.  If anyone has read it, I’d love to discuss the how long it took Adam to name the animals thing vs. when Eve was created conundrum.

Well, it looks like today’s post is a tribute to randomness!
